Hello,
I'm in mid discussion about changing my meds I am currently on plegridy (2 weekly injection) I get terrible side affect. My ms nurse has said to try Ocrevus the six monthly injection.
Is anybody on Ocrevus? If so what side affect do you get? How long does it actually take ( says upto 4-5 hours online) and how do you find the whole thing? Please and Thank you
Had 4dmts over 26y. Ocrevus is head and shoulders my favourite. 4-5h every 6mo. Fire and forget. The most effective DMT out there and excellent that nurse recommended. Happy to hear that. If you search for Ocrevus and Ocrelizumab here you'll pick up many threads. The excellent forum administrator, @stumbler has not been around lately so hope he is ok. He normally picks up on enquires. I’ve been on Ocrevus for a little over a year and like it so far. My MRIs since starting are stable with no new or active lesions. I do get infusion reactions (itchy scalp and itchy ears) so my infusions usually take 7-9hours, but they’re usually only 4-5 if you don’t react. The only other side effects I’ve had it a UTI and shingles since it lowers the immune system, but I haven’t had a problem since. I also will feel a little weak for a couple of days after my infusion. After the first two halves some of my symptoms flared for a couple of months, but then got better than they were before I had started. Overall, I’ve had a good experience with it. Good luck.
