Maybe relapse?

I went through a lot in late October; I think I might’ve had another relapse but I might’ve missed it because I was in bed and drinking a lot. I don’t know. My paresthesia is much worse, my eyesight seemed to get worse rather quickly and I’ve picked up this strange leg tremor.

How long would a relapse last if not treated or hospitalized?

@lightningduck , there’s no definitive answer to that question.

Relapses last until the underlying inflammation(s) die down. This can be expedited with the use of Steroids, but your recovery outcome will still be the same.

Recovery is very much down to you as to whether you can rest/relax to allow this recovery.

All relapses have the capability to leave us with residual damage…..

Yeah, I don’t think it was a true relapse; I think I’m just overthinking it, though I notice some symptoms have gotten worse.

I need an MRI for sure…haven’t had one in 3 years

@lightningduck , you also need to chill out and go with the flow. 😊

@stumbler – yeah, I haven’t had a definite relapse since my initial one 6 years ago but I also haven’t seen a neuro or the inside of an MRI in over three years

@lightningduck , is the MRI findings that important to you? It’s only going to show you what’s happened in the past.

We have to deal with the present, whilst keeping an eye on the future

@stumbler not really….I haven’t had one in three years. I would like to see where I am now compared to my last one and if can maybe explain some things that have happened since then. Mostly I have MS friends recommending to talk to the neuro so I can get back on a DMD

Hi lightning which medication are you presently on?

@anna_de_vito – I’m not on anything currently; I was last on Tecfidera but my prescription ran out about maybe a year and a half ago. I have an appointment to see a nero for the first time in over two and a half years and maybe I’ll get back on a DMD. Thanks for asking

Hi,don’t mention It. Why I’m asking is that I am presently on Tysabris it!s an infusion given once a month for one hour.Maybe you can mention it to your Neuro.See what he tells you. Good luck!

@lightningduck , Oh, I assumed you were still on Tecfidera.

Yes, if it helps get you back on an MS treatment, then an MRI is a good idea. I find MRI results are more for the medical professionals, as they are fairly meaningless to me. It’s a progressive condition, so it will probably progress……… 😉

It sparks my intellectual curiosity

I got hit by a truck in November and I was hyper curious about everything during my recovery and Wound Care.
