Maybe MS?

Found 2 small lesions on my brain scan w/ contrast. Met with the nurse practitioner at my neurologist's office (have never met him), and she doesn't seem to be worried. But I have notice serious changes in cognitive areas, and still have left side facial numbness, and now feel like something is crawling on my scalp and itchy skin. They have a sleep study, neck ultrasound and follow up MRI brain scan in the next 2 months, but she doesn't seem to think it's anything. I AM WORRIED. Am I crazy?

Hi @patty_stuckey and welcome. As far as the MRI with contrast is concerned, those two lesions would need to be highlighted, to signify active relapse activity. If they are just visible normally (if that makes sense!) then it relates to historic damage. This differentiation would dictate whether there should have been any reactive treatment, e.g. Steroids, considered, or not. If you have any concerns, get back in touch and express your concern and ask why no action was taken.

@potter

I would get a second opinion, I have had too many doctors and nurses act like I was hypochondriac or crazy because of MS symptoms. I didn't stand my ground and wondered if I had MS for twenty years. When I was finally diagnosed they just shrugged their shoulders and walked off. Potter
