looking for advice/opinions

Hello all. Hope everyone is well. Seems I only ever come on here when I am in times of term oil and bad times. I feel bad for that. But once again here I am. So to make a long story short I am once again in the middle of a pretty crappy relapse. Whole right side of my body is numb, vision issues, massive headaches. Then there are a pile of secondary symptoms from the primary ones of course like the upset stomach and pain and blah blah blah. We all know how it goes. No sense in boring everyone. So it all started a week ago yesterday. So what was it Friday December 27th. Of course right in the middle of the holiday season. So was a pain trying to get a hold of the Dr in the first place. No fault of his of course I get it. Was just crappy timing is all. But when I did get a hold of the office on Thursday past. I got real lucky cause someone had just canceled their appointment for the next morning. So was able to get in pretty much right away which was awesome. So went in and seen him yesterday. He has put me back on Copaxon, has put me on a high dose of Prednisone for three days, has upped my Lyrica dosage. Now this is where I want opinions/suggestions. He wants me to start keeping a log of my symptoms daily. So of course I thought right away that will be easy. So said ok and moved one. However now that I am sitting here to start I got thinking. What do I write down. How much do I divulge. I know. I know. Everything. I get that. But then there is the problem of what about some self dignity. Along with what if my wife reads it. She don’t know everything. I just can’t bring myself to tell her everything. So here I sit at a loss as to what to do. Just kind of having a hard time dealing with it all this go around. I feel like a scared animal with no way out this time that there is no good outcome. Anyway sorry again for the lack of presence. Take care all. And thanks in advance.

I guess it depends on what kind of person your wife is. If I kept a symptom list my husband would dismiss at least half the list. -He doesn't understand and doesn't want to face it so he will say things like that shouldn't bother you or that never happened. I also keep symptoms to myself unless you have MS you can't understand. A year ago I woke up numb on the right side of my body, it was 2 days before Christmas. I had recently got a superflu shot for seniors it was new that year. My neuro thought it could have caused the problem, this year I read a article that it was probably the cause. Good luck with your decision. Potter

Hey @shannon_devlaminck, you could turn it into a business-type exercise. You could make a table on the laptop, range of symptoms along the top and dates down the side, expanding as you go. Instead of ticking boxes, you could write a score out of 10 to record how severe. You wouldn’t need to go into details in case anyone reads. Only you would know what having a high or a low score meant. Hope you feel better soon!
