Life and ms

Hi I have ms and I’ve had it since 1988 , I have a good support network around me , my husband and daughter are really understanding when I have a bad day . I try to keep myself fit by swimming 3 times a week but there’s a lot off things I would like be able to do which I can’t and that’s not given in it’s my body saying no . I suppose I should not dewy on it as I’ve had ms 32 years now and can still walk , stand and do a lot off things my doctor calls me the fighter which I were that badge with pride. My name is Heather and Iam 53 years old .

@heather_wark: That’s awesome, girlfriend!! I too was diagnosed in ‘93. I try to swim 3 days a week as well( although sometimes it’s deep water Zumba, other times it’s like a fish outta water in the water😀) I do my best and keep smiling! Lol. I am a firm believer that my mental health works for me or against me, so great job to you! Respect and strength!💪🏻👍🏻

@heather_wark: well done, your attitude is great! I have had ms for 20 years and also have a very supportive family. My walking is now pretty difficult, but I am determined to keep on my feet, even though it means I use a stick, or two walking poles and my balance is terrible! Having been a very active person it is sometimes more than frustrating. However, like you I feel so pleased when my neurologist tells me that I am doing well - and he is not the type to hand out compliments or encouragement lightly! We just have to keep going and never give up!
