Lhermitte's

Hi everyone, I am new to the site and not yet diagnosed, currently waiting to have my MRI. I know I will not have a definitive answer until my results. But I really wanted everyone's opinion on here so I can best prepare myself for the results. My symptoms have included foot drop on one leg, then it move to the other after a brief let up, I've had vertigo and numbness that has spread throughout my body over a few month, as well as pins and needles in my hands and finger tips. I temporarily lost vision for a few hours last year when all these other symptoms were occurring... I also have had lhermitte's sign throughout all of this. On all of you guys knowledge, what do you think the likelyhood of me Having MS is, I appreciate very honest opinions, thanks.
@Stumbler

Hi @camilla_foster and welcome. Well, as you know now, those symptoms do present in MS. The problem is that they also present in various other conditions too, which is why the MRI scan is necessary, which may be followed by other tests. It's clear that you've been Googling around, as you've found us. But, don't carry on Googling, trying to self-diagnose. You'll find all manner of horror stories which will be wildly inappropriate. Just be patient and let the Neurologist do their job. n the meantime, live healthily, eat healthily and do try not to stress too much about things. Stress can be the cause for all manner of ills. We're always here to answer questions. 😉

@stumbler thank you for the response and warm welcome. You are right, I have been googleing, and getting much too carried away with doing so! I know I'm not going to diagnose myself, so your advice is very good and appreciated. My neurologist suggested it may be a functional problem, rather than inflammatory... However from what I have learnt, lhermitte's sign would be more suggestive of the latter?
