Lemtrada
Hii, ive 2 sessions of lemtrada over 2 years, had my MRI scan and my consultant sent me a letter as I missed my appointment and in the letter it says I am anxious to discuss the mri results and further treatment at my next appointment. Im so stressed out as I keep thinking about this. Has this happened to anyone and what is likely to happen next treatment wise and also do people have 3rd sessions of lemtrada?
Hi Printha, I had my 1st round of Lemtrada in 2015 and 2nd in 2016. After 2 relapses in early 2019, my consultant agreed and I had the 3rd round in July 2019. I had 4 years of amazing improvement so I'm taking it one step at a time and I'll take any time that this 3rd round can give me. Apparently NICE have not approved a 4th round (but I'm not sure of this). New treatments are being made available so I always think positive that this 3rd round will work but if it doesn't, hopefully there will be something else to try. I am fortunate and grateful that I live in a country where these treatments are available to me. Never give up!!! 😀
@elsa75 thankyou for replying back. I had my first treatment in 2017 and then second one in 2018 and I had a relapse a month before my second treatment. I havent felt any relapses physically or anything after that,so slightly confused. Do you reckon the 3rd dose will help me? And if the 3rd course does not work will i still be able to have other treatments?
