I was diagnosed with MS in 1999. Many years prior to this I often had what felt like a flu virus but I always had flu injection and still had this flu -like symptoms 3 to 4 times a year. When I went to the doctor they could never find anything wrong. In the past 2 years my MS has changed into severe symptoms and walking problems. When I wake up every day now I feel like I have a flu virus. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did anything help

I've never had flu like symptoms. I have more the balance and gait issues, drop foot and more recently spasticity and fatigue are more of an issue. I was Dx in 2005 with symptoms for about 5 years before diagnosed. I had heard the timeline that often symptoms don't impact you much for 15 years and that was certainly true for me. I moved from Copaxone to Rebif and now to Ocrevus to slow progression...I think the MS Expanded Disability Status Scale will shift depending on what treatments you have had/are on and other efforts to manage MS such as diet and exercise, we will see over time- What do you do to try to manage the symptoms? or slow the course?
