HSCT

I’ve just had hsct (stem cell therapy) to try and halt the progression of my secondary progressive MS.
I’ve been at home recovering for nearly 2 weeks now, mostly concentrating on the physio exercises I was given and trying to retrain my bladder after the onslaught known as chemotherapy.
It was quite an experience being bedbound in a room for 3 weeks whilst tanked up to the eyeballs on steroids. Didn’t know there was such a thing as steroid mania but I definitely got it!!

So you didn’t have to go abroad and you were able to stay at home and everyone come visit you (through the glass😜) and help to keep you occupied. So now you’ve read War & Peace……..

@wildthing , hope it works for you.

Is it a prerequisite for a person with spms to have active legends or inflammation on the MRI ? If not then what are the other treatment options ? and if any other treatment is effective why not hsct for the same ?
