Hip pain after long walks

Hello everyone 😀 Just a random question but I’ve noticed that after long walks I’ve started to get sore hips don’t know if it’s MS or just because lock down happened and I’ve not really done a lot of walking. But after long walks my hips kill the next day affecting my my day to day life. Anyone else experience this at any time or just me?! Not really had this pain before always been fine after walks and other activities. Thank you 😃

I have just developed this too and also unsure if it’s something to do with my MS or if it’s something else - did you ever get to the bottom of it?

@RebeccaR07 , our bodies are very clever at compensating for weakness, e.g. Footdrop. The only problem is that this automatic compensation can introduce bad practice that can put unnatural pressure on our joints and muscles. Contact your MS Nurse and get them to arrange a Neuro-physio referral, to assess your posture and gait, recognise the problems and prescribe simple exercises to resolve.
