I am part of a leadership training group. The next training session will be held in Washinton DC for a week. There will be extensive walking and meeting with people. When i explained that I have MS and extensive walking will be difficult for me. With a gleam in his eye the instructor explained they had someone with a wheel chair on the trip last year. So they will be able to get me around. I just stood there. Staring at him. My mind racing with all of the nuances of ms and everything that i need to be carefull of. And if we are on our feet for 8 hours…. Will i be able to even walk the next day? They usually have meals planned out, i have asked for vegetarian, which usually means pasta. Blah. Pasta effects my eye sight. So i usually eat very little during the 2 to 3 day trainings. This one is a week. The more stressed i get the more any food makes me sick. Blah. Not looking forward to this trip and i know i should be excited like everyone else, but i am not there yet. All i can imagine is being sick, peeing myself and my legs locking up. Hey everyone look at me….
