Great North Run

Hi MSers and Lemmies I don’t post very often but have a little update. Background: for those of you who don’t me I was dx September 2008 and treated with Lemtrada 2009 & 2010. I had further doses in 2013 & 2016. I had no symptoms but annual MRI showed new lesions. Update: I started training for Great North Run in January but was struggling to get past 3km. Had a spinal MRI in April which revealed no new activity since 2008 👍🏽 but 3 scars on my C2-C4 vertebrae. This scarring was causing weakness in my left leg and foot drop). I ploughed in with my training but continued to be troubled by my foot drop and left leg. My neuro physio suggested the foot drop was wrecking my bio mechanics and recommended an Ossur Foot-Up. I didn’t have it long before the GNR but I completed it yesterday😊. I’m now going to focus my attention on strengthening my left leg and hope that this alongside the Foot-Up will help me continue to be active. Anyway the reason for my post is: 1. Recommend the Foot Up 2. Start a conversation about leg strengthening exercises - any one got any good suggestions they’ve been doing? 3. Share that you can push yourself beyond what you previously though was possible 😊 Thanks for reading 👍🏽
