Get the probiotics down you guys!!

When I found out I had MS I researched until I was blue in the face. The microbiome and gut health made loads of sense to me. I’m happy to report I’ve found a link to a trial that reports positive results from anti inflammatory gut health. I also read a report somewhere that Ocrelizumab patients had a noted change in their gut bacteria after being on ‘O’. Probiotics affect B cells and gut bacteria and so does ‘O’ - interesting!! https://multiplesclerosisnewstoday.com/news-posts/2019/11/28/immunomodulatory-and-anti-inflammatory-effects-of-probiotics-in-multiple-sclerosis-a-systematic-review/

Yes, my husband ran this article to me as he has radically improved his health and his UC by following a strict diet. He insists that gut bacteria is what is behind MS. I know they are researching that but my Neuro and Mayo (about most advanced health care in US) say to follow a good "heart healthy" diet but that won't be enough to control MS. So...I take my prescribed DMT (Ocrevus), don't do bad stuff (smoke or drink (excessively)), take my vitamin D and keep to my PT schedule. Do my "4x4" as it is called and hope for the best.

I should have mentioned...probiotics aren't the trick...we keep looking for a quick fix, a shot or a pill...but this is a lifestyle change...a very committed lifestyle change
