Functional neurological disorder (FND)

Hi everyone, So I saw my neurologist for a 2nd opinion last week after and nightmare with my first. He has given me a diagnosis of FND. He was pleasant and did listen to me although I feel due to my cognative issues I may not have been able to advocate as well as I would have liked. I did give him an updated version of symptoms I have daily and some occasionally. He did a neuro type exam and said he will try me on some migraine medication, I will see a neuro psychologist for some cognative assessments and maybe some Cbt. I did ask about a lumbar puncture which he said no and even if obs came up with clear Mris he wouldn't be able to diagnose ms. I still believe MS is a possibility if not know maybe later. However, I have had such a nightmare over these past few years (looking back to when I started having strange symptoms which I didn't take too much notice too) but more so the past 15 months since what was first thought to have been a TIA. I am sick and tired of feeling that I am always having to fight to be listened to, believed and treated correctly. all of this combined with the vast, progressing strange and scary symptoms that make you feel like you're going crazy that it has had such an impact on my emotional health and I know for sure this has been making my symptoms worse. Therefore, I will try what options the neuro has suggested and will wait and see. To be honest at this stage I was just grateful not to be made out as a fraud. Is there anyone else who has an FND diagnosis, did they evertually go on to receive an MS diagnosis?
