First Neurology appointment

So after more than 6 months of real struggle with suspected MS symptoms I finally have my first appointment with a neurologist on Sunday. Can anyone please give me insight on what to expect? I have been tracking my symptoms and will condense this list and take it along with me. Is there anything else I need to do in prep for the appointment? Also any tips on helping fatigue because I just need to sleep always 😩. I take pregabalin for the nerve pain which helps a little bit but it's still breaking through. Are there any medications I can request which will help me more? I'd appreciate any advice, thank you.

@poleyjo Hi My first Neuro appointment consisted of him carrying out some tests, still suspected MS at that stage. Tests were simple visual tests along with balance and cordination tests. He arranged for me to have some blood tests taken and alo an MRI for the following week. Any prep?, no just take yourself along and hear what they have to say. Fatigue Meds, I've only experienced fatigue a couple of times, generally I'm pretty lethargic and tired anyway but, not aware of any meds speciifically for fatigue. Baclofen may be of some use, it relaxes the muscles but also can make you drowsy. Tallk to the Neuro and see what they say.

@poleyjo , I think that @peterfrancis has covered what will occur on this appointment. As for fatigue, the bane of our lives, you might find the Pregabalin may be causing some of this. Especially if you haven't been taking it for long. It's best to persevere as this will hopefully improve. As for pain relief, Pregabalin only seems to take the edge off this. And, I'm up to 450mg a day. Just keep talking to your GP, so that the medication can be adjusted as necessary.
