FES treatment for foot drop

Hi following a recent visit from my MS nurse she has suggested that I try this to help with my walking. I have an appointment for assessment on 5th May and wondered if anyone else uses it and whether they find it a help. I have SPMS and usually use a walker or stick to get around but I do trip and fall frequently due to my left foot not lifting, currently sporting a massive black bruise on my back the size of a dinner plate from my most recent fall so I am keen to try new things to avoid my whole body becoming a bruise :) Any feedback from current users would be appreciated. cheers

I have used one since 2001 and would not be walking today without it. Unlike a traditional splint it can help build muscle strength, so well worth checking out. The staff at Salisbury Hospital are brilliant and understand how to get the best out of fes. http://odstockmedical.com/

Hi! I have RRMS and suffer badly from foot drop. My physio gave me a trial of the od stock fes and it was amazing! When I went back to work with it my colleagues said I was walking like a supermodel! I would definitely recommend it. Unfortunately the NHS in my area does not fund it but I can apply to the mssociety for a grant. Fingers crossed!! Good luck with it!🙂
