Eye Pain

Hey this is my first post and it is something that has niggled me since I was diagnosed last month with MS. I have eye pain not severe but it is there and more so if I think about it. I will mention it to the MS Nurse when I visit her on 20th March but up till then should I take Ibroprofen? The vision loss scares the hell out of me and I think I maybe bringing a bit of the eye pain on myself, although I do use a computer for the best part of the day. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that I am not A. Going to go permanently blind and B Doing my eyes any harm. TIA x

@belinda_allen , the following is the advice from the RNIB regarding Optic Neuritis :- <p style="padding-left: 30px;">"If you are experiencing discomfort or pain because of optic neuritis and this is very uncomfortable, your GP or ophthalmologist should be able to advise you about pain relief. It may be possible to improve things with over-the-counter painkillers. This pain or discomfort should only normally last for a few days."</p> I would also add that your pharmacist could also provide some advice on this subject. Your computer work will possibly be compounding this problem for you. There are some options here to consider. Does your employer have an Occupational Therapist function that could assist you?

Hi. @belinda_Allen I have eye pain & blurred vision sometimes too. It seems to be worse when I'm really tired or have not given my eyes a proper break during my workday. I hope your symptoms improve! Best of luck my friend!
