Early retirement from council

Hi, I am 40 years old and have worked for the council from 21. I have SPMS and have been really struggling with fatigue and neuralgic pain, I am finding it really hard to keep working, I am not able to do much outside work. I having been thinking of taking early retirement. Does anyone have any experience of working for the council and taking retirement? I have to prove to both my work an occupational therapist and a doctor from my pension fund that I am unable to do my job. Any advice anyone could give would be great. Thanks, Jason

@jasond After a quick read up from your past posts are there any meds you haven't been on?😃 On a more serious note though.. I've not worked since I was dx 1.5 year's ago. Unlike you though I was dx with spms right from the get go. Apparently I should have brought it to there attention sooner go figure.... Hopefully for you though you'll have a plan of sorts I'm guessing? As for me I'm bored beyond bored quite a bit now. Need a wheelchair for anything over 20ft. And a snooze after putting the washing on and getting it out. I'm coming across all wrong I know, but I really do hope you've got a plan. It ain't easy that's for sure. Happy trails😃

@jasond , are you a member of a Union? They should be able to help/advise you.
