Does anyone feel good?

Hi All, I am new to the MS club (diagnosed for 2 months) symptoms for about 3 years... And I was advised to stay away from forums by my doctor... however i find connecting with people with MS so helpful that i don't want to stay away :) I guess my question is... I know we talk a lot of about symptoms, and fears, and logistics of the disease etc... which all in all can be daunting... does anyone out there feel good? Feel as if having MS has not stopped them from living a fantastic and full life? I keep reading the stat that only 15%-20% of people end up wheelchair bound... is this accurate? Just looking for some hope for the future i guess :) Thanks All

Hi, I feel a lot better for finding this forum as I've picked up more useful info in 2 days than I have in 2 years and I've had some laughs as well. I only found the site by chance after watching some aussie girl talking about MS on youtube. Stay positive. cheers

@MrsHawk, I'm one of the "older" youngsters on this site and I've had MS hanging around for 35 years. It was a couple of years ago that I acquired my wheelchair, which lives in the garage. It only comes out for special events! But, I understand your concerns and questions. A Diagnosis of MS is a major life-changing event. You need to get your head around this, but in reality, it's just another thing in life that needs managing, much the same as paying the mortgage monthly. There is life after diagnosis, but you need to learn to live comfortably with your MS. Ignore it or abuse it and it'll have the last laugh. Just acknowledge it and work with it. Then you can get on with your life. Hope this helps.
