confused

i'm confused right now. Please help me. Yesterday, my doctor suggested that I try a new medicine - Mabthera. But for me it is very expensive. So I went to the head of the MS department, where they treat me. And she told me that I didn’t need it, it’s better to take what the state gives for free, but my doctor believes that it is ineffective. I do not know who to believe.
@Stumbler

@annakonuh , Mabthera isn't exactly a new drug, it's just the usage in Multiple Sclerosis is "off-label". Here's some details about the drug, which is fairly specific to the UK, but should help :- https://www.mssociety.org.uk/research/explore-our-research/emerging-research-and-treatments/explore-treatments-in-trials/rituximab And, here's a discussion on the off-label usage and efficacy :- https://multiple-sclerosis-research.org/2018/01/is-it-right-to-go-off-label-the-rituximab-story-continues-to-run/ What is the state offering you?
