Cladribine

HI All, I've been having a lot of relapse these past few months while being on Teqfidera but been told to no longer take this drug as I'm being offered 2nd line treatment. Has anyone started the drug Cladribine ? thinking of starting this. I've done some research but was wondering if anyone has experience with this drug? I know it's new so I'm not expecting a lot. Luke.

@lukerussell31 , Cladribine isn't a new drug. It's only recently been used, with some success, to treat MS. For this purpose, it has been rebranded as Mavenclad. So, unlike most new MS treatments, this drug has an extensive track record.

Hi. I'm about to start taking cladribine, unless there's any unexpected chnage of plan. While I can't give you personal experience, I could let you know how I came to my choice to stop tecfidera and start cladribine. I can also private message you (if you send a friend request) the email address of the neuro at the Royal London who is seeing me. His team have been amazing at answering my questions. The key trial to read about is the CLARITY trial. There is acually a lot of data about long-term effectiveness as the first trials for MS were over 10 years ago, and it has been used off label for a few years in the UK already.
