Cannot concentrate!!

I'm working from home and I know I'm luckily to be doing so. However, I cannot concentrate or get work done properly. My brain has checked out. I'm sure everyone has this at the moment. I have had brain fog in the past but I think it's just the current situation. It's really making me unproductive. Tasks with strict deadlines are no problem but tasks for 'future use' with no deadlines, I just can't get done! Worried I'm going to be furloughed now. Anyone got any tips for getting focused?

Hi @beccamc99! I was afraid of this, too, as I'm working from home, 2nd week now. I've been proactive about it and set up our box room as a home office. I'm getting up slightly later, but sticking to my normal routine and break times, and even making my packed lunch in the morning and my travel cup of coffee to normalise everything! This has helped my brain cope with the change so far, just need to get used to work jabber chats instead of speaking to the other 17 people in the team! It's actually helping me, as I'm getting more peace and quiet to get on with my work! Even hubby being at home now too isn't putting me off too much, after day 1 when he annoyed and interrupted me repeatedly so got his head chewed! I've made him aware of my break times and he just delivers me a fresh pot of tea every hour or so! Chin up and get a bit of structure into your day, get showered and dressed for work to get your brain into work mode and hopefully that will help! Keep safe, Vivien xxxx

@vivien thank you. That's really sound advice! You're right, I've let my routine go to pot completely, so I've written myself a list of to dos including walking the dogs and showering before I sit down to work. Fingers crossed it works! Thanks again 😊
