Calf pain on holiday

So I have had a pain/tension in my calf for a few days, I had been on my feet quite a bit, walking etc so assumed that was the reason and it would ease off with rest. But it’s now 5 days later an my foot is beginning to feel numb 😕 does anyone have any advice on what I can do – do I just ride it out or do I try and get something for it.

I’m also on holiday in Spain so I can’t really visit my doc/ms nurse until I get home in 2 days time. (I don’t think a Spanish doc will help as they won’t know my full medical history)

I often get discomfort from spasticity in calf and hamstrings.

Stretch, stretch and stretch.

But often that won’t be enough. My wife very kindly rolls my calfs with a rolling stick like this:

I also have a foam roller. It is painful
as hell but the knots get worked out.

@dominics thanks – I have a foam roller at home so maybe try that when I get back if it’s still as bad

I find it hard to do my calfs with the roller as you need to support your bodyweight with your arms.
