Bowels and legs

For years I've had constipation and before ms I had it too. The last few years I've noticed that I'm OK for a few days before a bowel movement and the day I go I'm way worse than before. Legs are super tight all day and spasticity is bad for the whole day. I go for a bowel movement once or twice a week. I don't understand why my legs and spasticity go mad after the bowel movement. Anyone got any ideas why? It baffles me
@ItsMewithMS

I should track in my MS diary if it is similar for me! I have some regular BMs and then a day or two go by with very little and then a day where I WHAM have to go now and seem to empty everything in my body in a very constipated one big hit. I've found that it is better with a "nerve pain" drug Gralise and Gabapentin before that so know it is related to my MS. Have also tried to improve my diet which has helped some. Definitely something to discuss with your Neuro or MS nurse. I have found that if I do my stretches late afternoon it is better and also warm up rice bag and put it on my upper thigh (spastic area for me) that helps- I may follow a similar pattern-

Thanks @itsmewithms I must try that tip with the warm rice bag on thigh as i have spasticityou in both upper thighs and it's horrible. I think the bowels problems are just the ms but it's not nice and everyone is different with their ways of dealing with it. I've said it to neuro a few times and he just says to go to gp. Its the drugs we take for symptoms that have these side effects that causes the problems too i think. Never know what to do and if I do its usually frowned upon by ms team.
