Baclofen query

Hey 👋 everyone hope you are all having a good day I’ve stopped taking baclofen not suddenly thou but now I’ve got fatigue has this happened to anyone else thanks
@US-Emma

Hi Louise, Are you taking Baclofen for muscle spasms, pain or something else? How were you taking it? . I have been diagnosed since 2003. I’m now 45. . Initially I was given Baclofen but did not help me at all. I was working a rigorous job with lots of travel at the time. My neuro gave me an exceedingly small dose of Clonazepam .25mg once a day. In those early days this was a game changer for me, I had the energy to go to the grocery shop on the way home from work and my legs were in significantly less pain throughout the day. . So I think it depends on what your goal is with Baclofen. You should also look at other medication that might be causing fatigue. For example Baclofen + Tizanidine (Zanaflex) causes both to be more effective but also increases fatigue so I use these together but only at night- as insomnia is an issue for me as well. . We have a lot of meds to treat MS symptoms and it may be that you need a different combination of medication. . If a medication causes fatigue, but you still need it- try using at night for a while and in 1-2 weeks add a dose after work plus the bedtime dose. When this dose isn’t causing so much fatigue you can move it to earlier in the day. . This may (or may not) work to help you overcome the side effect of fatigue. Our bodies can develop a tolerance to side effects-not in all cases, but more than you might think. . I am happy to help if you have drug sequencing questions. . Take care, Emma
