Baclofen Pump

Hi, I’m going for a consult next month to talk with a Physiatrist about getting a Baclofen Pump. I’m at the Max dose orally & my stiffness is horrible. I’ve never had surgery before & the thought of having something big in my body. I’m just REALLY Freaked out!

@justjesse , relatively, the pump isn’t that big. The pump is a round metallic disc (about 1 inch thick and 3 inches in diameter).

It allows the Baclofen to be delivered intrathecally, i.e. where it’s needed. So, the required dose can be lower.

The dose can also be adjusted, if necessary.

This website explains about the pump :-
