Back to work and feeling worse!

I’ve just recently started back to work on a phased return after being off for nearly a year. I had been feeling so much better, no symptoms for ages. My energy levels were good and the anxiety had settled. Which is why I decided to go back. I’ve just completed my 3rd week and all this week I have been having a strange burning hot sensation on my skin on my left side. There’s no skin numbness, just this weird burning hot feeling. My skin doesn’t feel hot when I touch it. It seems to be worse when I’m out in the cold and also when something is first brushed against my skin. It’s not debilitating it’s more annoying really. I’ve also sat down tonight to watch tv and I just couldn’t keep my eyes open! Just so tired!! Could this all be due to starting back to work? I’m concerned it’s a mild relapse but it seems very conincidental that I’ve just started back to work!
@potter

Your skin burning sounds like my first relapse which my neuro said was mild. He asked me if I needed some steroids but by the time I got to see him I was over it. It sounds like you are over doing it, get a round of steroids and cut back to part time. I was over doing it a year ago taking care of my elderly mother in-law. I woke up to half my body being numb. She is ill again but I am not helping this time, I learned my lesson. Potter

@julesds1977 , it does seem that it's your body trying to tell you something. It's a question of finding the right work-life balance that works for you. And, also bearing in mind that this balance can change over time. Additionally, stress can play a big part. So, just enjoy being back at work.
