AS and MS? Anyone?

Just out of interest, does anyone else on this site also have AS (ankylosing spondylitis)? I am told by the specialists (rheumatologists and neurologists) that the two are unrelated, and yet, obviously, for me, they are quite closely related, as I've got both of them ... Not moaning as, right now, I'm not so bad but wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

@justinm , having had a quick look at Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), there is no mention of it being an auto-immune condition. Additionally, it tend to affect parts of the body physically, whereas MS is more about interfering with the Body's neural messaging. So, you're just greedy, having two conditions, or unfortunate. I suggest the latter. 😉 There have been some previous posts about AS. Put "ankylosing spondylitis" into the Forum Search function (magnifying glass, top left) to locate them.

Thanks for the advice - I'll do that! I know the two aren't related (although AS is often judged to be autoimmune). I was just keen to know of anyone's experience of having both conditions? On a practical level, some drugs for one interfere with treatments for the other etc but actually I was more interested in how anyone else deals with some common symptoms - mobility issues, sight, fatigue etc.
