Anyone had CBT?

Hi. I have severe tremor and spasticity in my leg. I have tried all medication but failed. The neurologists don't know what to do anymore and have decided to try me of diazepam (the only drug left to try) and CBT to learn strategies of hoe to cope with this? I feel like they just think it's all in my head eventhough they have said that it clearly isn't as I have a spinal lesion indicating the damage. I just want to know if anyone else has done this? Hi @orlando27, thanks for replying. They have stated that there is obvious cause for the leg tremor and that is clear, what they want to try is see if I can learn any strategies to help with the severity. I love to be the optimist but I highly doubt it. I have an amazing team- a nurse and two neurologist who specialise in ms. There words were that they have never seen anyone with the severity in leg tremor as I have, so they are trying all that they know. I'll comply and give it a go but I really don't know what they will do if it doesn't work. The positive is that I can come off carbimazepine (hooray!). Lemtrada is doing its job so far for relapses so I'm happy about that. X

Hi. My tremor started a year ago and has been there ever since. The carbimazepine hadn't helped reduce the tremor. I'm glad to come off it as I am on a high dose (800mg) and I'm confident that it could be playing a part in my cognitive delay, so I'd rather improve that and try to sort the legs another way, especially if the treatment isn't working.
