Anyone else

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I’m writing this bc I am an RN and I worked in Urgent Care working 12 + hours three days a week, and I accepted a new job working in outpatient surgery (better hours, pay, and health insurance benefits) I’m nervous bc I am new to working in surgery. Are there any nurses out there who can give me some advice??? Thank you!

@ceelynn , the are some of our members who are nurses, but I’m not sure if this is the right type of Forum for your concerns.

For my part, my wife is a nurse. She has recently moved from general nursing in a hospital ward to an Endoscopy Unit. She felt like a “fish out of water” for a few weeks, whilst she learnt the procedures and what was expected of her. But this familiarisation doesn’t take long.

Change is always uncomfortable, but we have to change to evolve……….

Good luck with the new job.

I have MS, and I was just asking if anyone else happened to be a nurse in this group as well. Thank you for your response
