Anyone actually have both type2 diabetes

An obvious answer to the Metformin and MS issue would be to see if any one on here is unlucky enough to have both MS and type 2 diabetes, taking Metformin for the latter and seeing help from it for the 1st. Meanwhile I shall be my own guinea pig.

I was thinking the same thing earlier! My Dad has type 2 diabetes and I have MS. He takes Metformin. It’d be great if I could take it too to try and prevent relapses and also avoid risk of developing type 2 diabetes myself!

@nobodyin I think since I’m newly diagnosed I will give DMTs and lifestyle choices a try first, but I’ll never rule metformin out

Could I ask what dosage of Metformin? I may be clutching @ straws but am taking 500mg twice a day, am hoping Ocrevus will help stop the rot & metformin start a fight back, even if the latter only helps me lose weight though that would be good in itself.
