All in the Family?

Hi everyone, wondering if any of you also have family members with MS. My mom was diagnosed at 32, and I was diagnosed at 29. My mom also has a first cousin with severe progressive MS. Research seems to be murky and refers to the disease as being familial rather than hereditary but I’ve had medical professionals try to tell me there is no family link!

@kathleen_brennan , the best you can hope for the medical profession to concede is that there MAY be a genetic link, but it's only a small part of the overall jigsaw. So, the chances of you contracting MS is only considered slightly higher than anyone else.....
