SUCH A PAIN IN THE BUTT

HI People, does anyone et bad sciatic pain(butt& legs), as a result of ms? i'm suffering bad right now.even find it hard to walk cos the pain in so bad, but when i get going it gets better. is this a result of ms? my gp and nurse both said i should take gabapentin, but 'm not sure it is ms related?

many thanks, the pain has got worse so i'm on heavy pain killers now,can i ask, did it have a lasting effect with you? or did you make a full recovery?.. many thanks :-)
