Mitaxanerone

What is it with drug names?! Anyone on this one? If so, what's it like, does it help and, if you don't mind, how much does it cost? Just missed out on the Simvastatin drug trail (literally, last place has just gone) so looking around....cheers

hi kevbev, I went on mitoxantrone in combination with copaxone about three years ago as I continued to have relapses with rebif. Tysabri was unavailable at the time. I have had a couple of relativley minor blips since but otherwise it seems to be doing a good job. Speak to your neuro/ms nurse but I wouldn't imagine you would have to pay for it. Give me a shout if you've got any questions. Cheers, George

Hey dude, I just finished a course of Mitox a couple of months ago, good stuff, it does have some serious side effects though, take a look at my youtube vid I did on Mitox at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcVh5QhwqVc Might help to explain it a little better. As far as cost goes, should be free on the NHS =) Gav
