3rd infusion of lemtrada?

Hi I am 10 years in with RR MS, and had 2 very successful doses of alemtuzumab, in January 2016 and January 2017. I responded very well to the alemtuzumab neurologically (despite being highly prone to any virus, cold or infection going in the 1st year) and in 2018 was in extremely good neurological health. Despite during 2018 being diagnosed with fluctuating thyroid condition. Having a relapse currently and having had a return of my neurological symptoms over 2019, I'm currently debating whether third dose of alemtuzumab or ocrevus would be suitable? I'm interested to know if anybody else on shift has experienced third infusion of alemtuzumab? Would be great to hear from anyone x

@cathy , put "Lemtrada third" into the Forum Search engine (magnifying glass, top left). šŸ˜‰

@cathy I had a 3rd infusion of Lemtrada in July 2019 due of 2 relapses (both times eye related) in March 2019 and April 2019. My consultant agreed that a 3rd infusion was my best option because I had a good response to the 1st (in 2015) and 2nd (in 2016) infusions with minimal side effects. My 3rd infusion went equally well with no side effects and I am still well today. All my previous symptoms (balance, anxiety, bladder issues, cognitive issues, etc) are 95% better but there is some permanent damage to both feet and my left leg that I am now able to ignore. I must admit that I did not explore other options so it may be best to discuss all options with your consultant to find the best one gor you. Good luck with whatever decision you make and I hope all goes well. šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜
