1st medication: methylprednisolone & co

I’ve just started a 5 day course of methylprednisolone (along with a gastro resistance med). This is the first thing I’ve been given to try and prompt recovery or lessening of symptoms. I’m so thankful there’s something there to help but my goodness - I can’t take tablets. I’ve always been rubbish at swallowing tablets and usually just ask for a liquid form because I can bare the horrible taste. I have to take 5 medium tablets every day for 5 days. I’ve just swallowed my first 5 and it was so difficult! (Gross warning) I ended up bringing up most of the water I drank to help the tablets go down and I had no warning that my body going to do that :( Does anyone know if I can ask for a liquid form of methylprednisolone? Or if I can get it injected/on an IV. At least that way I know the medicine is going into my body for sure, and it’s minimal hassle for me instead of sitting choking for an hour every morning. I know I’m on a short course but I really found it difficult, and I just want to feel better.

@keepsmyelin99 , IV Prednisolone is an option. Although, I once had oral Steroids, which came in powder form (maybe before it was constituted into IV). I just mixed that in fruit juice. So, ask the question and see what is offered.

Thanks @stumbler :) Gonna see how I do with the tablets tomorrow morning and then if it’s still proving to be a struggle I can ask.
