Interesting article. It focuses on glutamate, which is found in MSG ( mono sodium glutamate ), which is found under many names in nearly all processed food. It is fine for most people, but for people with MS, it actually makes the disease worse.
Reading this article makes me even more determined to try to avoid it at all costs. I’ve just realized all stock cubes have if in and I have just given all mine away.
I have always been against food fads in MS but up to date research like this does seem to show that glutamates are influential in the disease progression of MS.

I’m confused?

Fish, chicken, broccoli, grapes, peas are all high in glutemate. Should MSers not be eating this?

Simple rule. If cavemen ate it so can you. Processed food is bad for you. Look up Dr Terry Wahls. She succeeded in reversing her primary progressive MS through diet alone.

Naturally occurring glutamates are ok, it is the extra ones in flavoring and specifically msg and all its alias that may be causing MSers and lots of other people with neurological problems real half.
