Relapse/Remitting (Primary)

Hey 🙂

I wonder if anyone can shed something light! Ive just read through my doctors notes from the hospital, and it says my diagnosis is relapsing/remitting (Primary) does anybody know what the primary part means? Because I thought I just had highly active relapse remitting, I’ve not heard of the Primary bit before unless used with primary progressive.

Thank you! X

Did he or she write secondary next to the diagnosis of specific symptoms? If so, it means your main, or primary, disease is MS and the symptoms are secondary to, or a result of, the MS.

@laurasavage567 , I’d tend to agree with @mamawals.

I’d also interpret MS as being the main condition that you have to deal with, so anything else becomes secondary……………..

However, it’s a question to ask next time you’re in hospital…
