Relapse Management

I’ve SPMS, so technically not having a relapse but am currently experiencing a mighty flare up, so I’ll call it a relapse. Symptoms include usual suspects of pain, fatigue, ataxia etc. I’m an old hand at this, diagnosed 15 years ago… but can anyone suggest recovery options (not steroids)?

@samuelmanual , with Secondary Progressive MS (SPMS), we can still suffer from “pseudo exacerbations”.

These are symptoms of a relapse that have been brought on by an unrelated infection that our body is fighting. As our compromised immune system has been activated, our MS symptoms go into overdrive.

Once the underlying infection is resolved, things should return to normal.

So, any temperature or unrelated problems?

Hey, it’s ShiftMS’s very own pseudo MS nurse… I knew you’d respond.
