Relapse

Hi there, just wanted some advice and reassurance. I think I’m having my 1st relapse since I was diagnosed with rrms in 2015. I don’t know whether to accept that this is going to be part of my life or be sad??? Is it normal to feel scared?Any advice would be great thank you

@stacko , it’s important to properly identify relapse activity. And, if it is, then it is wise to try and identify whether there was a specific trigger for this activity, which you can then try and avoid in the future.

The following webpage should help with identifying a relapse :-

You’re not sure what’s going on at the moment, so it’s natural to feel apprehensive.

You should contact your MS nurse about this, as your present treatment may need to be reviewed.

Its normal to feel scared but keep your emotion control stronger than your worry
Never ever panic with MS it doesnt like that
Hopefully the relapse will pass either after 16 days or with steroids.

@stacko

Relapse or not, MS has a cruel habit of throwing the whole gamut of emotions and feelings at you unexpectedly.
