Problem with left hand

Hi,

I’m having trouble with grip in my left hand. I don’t seem to have the strength to grip but equally, when I do grip something, I’m finding it hard to let go. For example, the steering wheel. The muscle down the outer side of my hand is painful to move too. Sound familiar to anyone? I do have numbness in my last 3 fingers on this hand but I’ve had that for a while so this grip thing is new on me x

I have exactly the same thing I’ve just posted asking about it.

No way @binx?! It’s so weird isn’t it? It feels alien to my body! Ha ha x

@chloeautumnx i also have weak grip in my left hand, but no numbness or letting go problem. I saw a neuro physio recently who recommended some simple exercises to strengthen it and it’s getting better.

Ah thank you @noelie. Perhaps I need to get back in touch with my neuro physio.

@chloeautumnx you can start with playing with an elastic band around your fingers and trying to stretch it to rebuilt / maintain muscles in your fingers x

Its worth getting referred to physio by your ms nurse/neuro/ and they will help you a lot with this.
