Personal hygiene

My legs clamp together making it very difficult to clean myself
Any ideas out there?
My career manages to separate my legs and I try to wash between them with a poof am not very effective!

@jl0ates , how long have your legs been constrained like this? The obvious answer would be to obtain some flexibility in your legs to help with the spasticity.

Two options come to mind :-
1. physiotherapy – this can be arranged via your MS Nurse.
2. Muscle relaxants – to ease and loosen the muscles.

Personally, I would try physio first and have the meds as a fallback.

ThankI have not got on well witt the anti spasm drugs yet… I’ll see if I can get some physio

Hi @jl0ates can I suggest the obvious, a shower head pointed in the right direction should deal with the problem on a daily basis, and if drying is as much of a problem as washing is, just sitting on a towel in the warm and letting nature take its course usually works. ‘Tips from an old codger whose hands frequently don’t want to play ball don’t see why it shouldn’t work with legs that stick together🥊😜
