Ms hug

Does anyone have any strategies or anything that helps with their MS hug? It’s incredibly frustrating and can be so painful not being able to breathe all the way in, my chest feels tight and I sometimes get palpitations. I suffer with anxiety so this obviously does not help!!

All I do is breathe ‘narrowly’ No, you can’t take a big deep breath, but you can still breath, but it is frightening and uncomfortable, and usually happens too quickly and gets better long before you can get a gp’s appointment, dont snickers, that makes the breathing even worse.🙏🏻👂😍

@milliepipkins

The dreaded MS Hug is a swine to put it mildly, I have only experienced it on a few occasions and those being milder compared to what others have experienced.

I tend to let it wash over me whilst remaining sat down on the sofa, like grandma says narrow controlled breathing does help a little, but you still feel like you’re being smothered by a giant Python made of stone and iron.
