Long time out of work…

Has anyone got advice on what to tell any future potential employer to why I’ve been out of work for a long period. Do I be honest and tell them that I haven’t been that well or make up a little fib??

@Chate , you need to read this publication:-

http://www.mstrust.org.uk/shop/product.jsp?prodid=246

The specific answer to your question reads, “If you are applying for a new job you are not under any obligation to disclose a diagnosis of MS and an employer is not allowed to ask about health problems during the recruitment process. However an employer can establish if you could take part in an assessment process or be able to undertake functions that are intrinsic to the job.”

So, if you have no noticeable visible signs, then you had the year off for “personal reasons” – and that’s not really a fib, either. 😉
