@weybey , the latest data on Tecfidera usage has recently been released:-

http://media.biogen.com/press-release/neurology/tecfidera-dimethyl-fumarate-data-reinforce-strong-sustained-efficacy-newly-d

All DMDs should reduce the frequency and severity of relapses.

But, the figure of 75% is just a figure extrapolated from their data i their trials. So, just a statistic.

And, in this world, there are “lies, bloody lies and statistics”! 😉

@stumbler thank you for the link, I know data can be manipulated to present the best possible outcome and the company selling the pills want to show their product in the best possible light but we all need hope and I feel much better since starting tec. P.S I work as a data analysis.

@weybey , well throw away the statistics. If the Tecfidera is making you feel good, then it’s working. That’s the bottom line. 😉

My looking into Tec stuff was more like 50% reduction BUT did read something about slowing progression and that’s the bit that appealed to me

Both are thought to slow brain atrophy- so that is good 🙂
