JC positive- what to try next

Hi everyone,
I’m new to this site. I was diagnosed with RRMS just over 2 years ago & was put straight on to Tysabri as I was JC virus negative. It has worked so well for me & was a perfect fit.
Unfortunately my nurse rung yesterday & I have now become positive.
I’m looking at going on to either Lemtrada or Fingolimod. Has anyone been through this or has advice on these two drugs?
Thank you

Hi @rose93 and welcome.

Becoming JC+ isn’t a reason to stop Tysabri. It all depends whether the actual titre levels are at a level which suggests an excessively high risk of PML.

However, if the advice is to switch your MS drug, then Lemtrada or Gilenya (Fingolimod) would be reasonable alternatives. You can read up about them here :-
