Ive been reffered to Physio home visit

Dear MS Users,

Ive got progressive MS also have relapse one every 6 months but not all the time.
What do home visit Physiotherapist do it’s from Connect Care? It’s not Neuro though.
I look forward hearing from you.

@vivc , who arranged this referral for you?

It sounds like a private company that may be contracted to do work for the NHS. I did try and find out about them, but their website is presently down :-

Dear Stumbler,
You say it may be an private company Connect Care that works for
NHS. But do you know what an home visit by ordinary physio entail?

@vivc , I would hope that the physio would check the strength of your arms and legs. They do this by getting you to pull and push against the pressure they exert by holding or pushing your limb.

Once they have identified a specific muscle weakness, they will show you a simple exercise, which will strengthen the muscle.

That’s what I would hope that happens……….

I want the physiotherapist show me exercises that will
manage my MS? So it does not get worse.

@vivc, it is too much to hope that a physio can prevent our MS getting worse. But, they can help us recover some function from previous damage caused by our MS.
