Been diagnosed for 15 years, no treatment. Have been experiencing first ‘real’ relapse for 2 months now and thinking of going on gilenya. What are your thoughts

Hi @lara23 and welcome.

Gilenya, an oral medication, is one of the more effective Disease Modifying Therapies (DMTs) and seems to be well tolerated.

Been on Gilenya slightly more than 2 years. As mentioned by @stumbler, its well tolerated and very convenient. Clear MRI’s and no relapses so far. Have had no side effects as well (except initially had slightly elevated liver enzyme counts which normalized between 3-6 months). You would have a lowered lymphocyte count which is normal as long as its in the range.
