Fluoxitine trial SPMS

I’ve seem to have graduated to SPMS from RR;
or the alternitive…. I’ve noticed that the MS Trust is publicizing a trial involving Fluoxitine (prescribed for depression). Strange thing is, I’ve been on Fluoxitine for 2.5 years and haven’t had an aggressive relapse; symptoms just gradually getting worse.
I think we should be told…. what do you think?

@clairest , there is the MS-SMART trial, involving the “repurposing” of available drugs that are presently used for other conditions.

This trial has been on the cards for about 2-3 years. Well, I think that’s when I put my name forwards.

I understand that Fluoxitine will now be one of the drugs involved. 😉

Prozac? I’ve also been on that for 2 years. This is very interesting. 🙂
