face sores.

I am new to this site. Have blistery sore areas in my hair, forehead, eyebrow and eyelid and lashes. It is swollen red . I have had ms for 28yrs which is now 2ndry progressive take no ms drugs only medication to help with fatigue and urine urgency. Had a similar infection on my nose in December that antibiotics slowly cleared up, I know this is connected to trauma and low immune system with ms and nerve pain. But this is very new and can anybody give advice who manages this eruption. Regards sandra

Hi @dramaqueen and welcome.

This doesn’t sound like an MS problem, more like an adverse reaction to medication.

What does your GP think about it?

I think @stumbler is right… either that or an infection called impetigo. It spreads pretty easily through broken skin etc.
Sounds like you should ask your Dr.

Hello. I certainly agree that a visit to the doctor/ go is in order. Whatever the cause, and especially if the previous condition cleared with antibiotics it sounds like an infection (either primary or secondary). As a sideline… Forgive me if I am mistaken but, with MS, my understanding is, that our immune systems are ‘hyperactive’??? (Maybe I have misread your post about your issue being connected to low immunity) I know that some of the MS DMTs lower or dampen the immune response, however you say you are not using any. I am confused!!

I agree I think its impetigo im taking some antibiotic that I have indoors that hopefully clear the infection. I havent been to the doctor yet but will give it 2 days if no improvement. Have unfortunately lost a lot of faith in doctors over 28yrs of there’s nothing they can do. But thanks for your replies its nice to know others r out there.

Ahhhh okay. Thanks. Ya, learn something new. This is such a tricky condition. My MS specialist explained that my MS is due to a hyperactive immune system.. Hence the reason I have only had 1/2 dozen colds over the last five or six years.. We are truly very individual.
